About Cherie Inn

The Cherie is Grand rapids longest-running restaurant, first opening its doors in 1924 in the historic Fairmont Square District. It is housed in a one hundred year old building, and it features the original tin ceilings, vintage art, and Stickley furniture of Grand Rapids dating back to the 1940’s. It has been renowned for its unique breakfast, lunch and gracious service.

Just west of Eastown, in the east hills Business District, this European style cafe is one of West Michigan’s best kept secrets. Located at 969 Cherry St. S.E., it is nestled near the tri-corner intersection of Cherry, lake, and Diamond. This breakfast and lunch eatery is the perfect spot for diners who appreciate homemade cuisine, professional service, and a sophisticated ambiance.

Our diners enjoy fresh flowers, exceptional meals and experienced servers who know how to treat our guests. World travelers tell us our Eggs Benedict is the best anywhere. We take time to shave the ham thin and make our own hollandaise from scratch.
